Hannagan Meadow Snowtubing

Due to it’s altitude of 9,100 feet, and its perfect location, Hannagan Meadow Lodge is one of the first locations in Arizona to receive snow each year. For the same reasons, it’s also one of the last locations in Arizona to receive snow each year. 

Hannagan Meadow has a great snowtubing hill just minutes walk from our lodge and cabins. Over the years, the Hannagan Meadow Lodge has come to be known as the “best tubing hill on the mountain.”

Bring your sled and snowtubes, or better yet, come and use ours, free of charge!

The kids can play, run up the mountain, or slide down on our complimentary tubes, while the adults join in or enjoy watching while sipping hot beverages from the warmth of their rooms.

Our snowtubing hill is usually available for tubing from Dec 15 – March 15th.

Tips For A Great Tubing Experience

Here are some tips for having a great snowtubing experience:

• Dress in layers to stay warm and comfortable. You should wear a base layer of moisture-wicking material, followed by a insulating layer and a waterproof outer layer. Don’t forget to wear gloves, a hat, and warm socks.
• Choose the right size tube for your height and weight. The larger the tube, the faster you will go, so make sure you are comfortable on the tube you choose.
• Use the correct body position to maximize your speed and control. Lean back slightly and keep your arms and legs close to your body to create a streamlined shape.
• Stay in control of your tube at all times. Use your arms and legs to steer and brake, and avoid collisions with other snowtubers.
• Take breaks as needed to avoid getting cold or tired. Snowtubing can be physically demanding, so make sure you take breaks to warm up and rest.
• Have fun! Snowtubing is a great way to enjoy the winter weather and spend time with friends and family. Don’t take it too seriously, and remember to have a good time.
